Gábor Városi - Stories, Artworks, Artistic periods

186 All this is not just technical brilliance or selfserving wallowing in the possibilities of cutting-edge technology. It is about a much more conscious creative purpose: the artist is inspired by the realization that an artwork today is much less likely to be received in a “tuned-in” way. The average stimulus-threshold is so high that the subtle impulses of art go unrequited, because they are likely to be drowned out by the dominant, profane noise of the environment and the world. “We need more than before”, thinks Városi. The pendulum threshold can be crossed by a change of strategy! The aim is to allow the viewer to meet the creations in their personal spaces, rather than in traditional exhibition spaces. To live with them! This way, the house and the garden become the place of encounter with the artefacts. Poetry 2020 in the Poets' Garden 300 x 100 cm kinetic glass sculpture
