Gábor Városi - Stories, Artworks, Artistic periods

204 Houses on the "Border" Exquisite outdoor bonsai and huge indoor plants simultaneously reflect with the sky on the organic water surfaces, while the kinetic glass sculptures, glowing like jewels at night, are constantly changing. One of the two-tonne moving pieces is a stylized depiction of our poets: Attila József, Miklós Radnóti, János Pilinszky and Sándor Petőfi (hence the name of the Poets’ Garden) whilst the other is a nonfigurative spiral symbolizing the spirit’s freedom. The same free spirit that has always guided me while creating. Because how many times have my paintings, sculptures or houses been said to be too much? But instead of playing it safe, I make strong and often startling statements. This is not recklessness; why not venture to the edge of our limits? Maybe not everyone will bear with us, but there is nothing wrong with that.
