265 Our relationship with museums as institutions has changed considerably. The presentation of archived material, its static 19th-century monumental order, linking the viewer and the exhibited object is no longer valid. Mere contemplation is replaced by a much more complex need to provide experience and a museum with a desire to give in a different way. Habits’ and tradition’s relationship with man is not material. But the social force they generate is very much so. Written by László Lelkes, Munkácsy Award-winning graphic artist Bridge and Gate Museum of Ethnography Budapest
